Military Fitness And Pool Programs

Although our facility is open to everyone for use of the equipment and facility ammenities; the programs that are offered by our Fitness Staff are offered expressly for our Military Members. The Dundonald Hall Fitness Instructors provide CFB Petawawa military personnel with the absolute best quality fitness instruction and advice. Their education and experience include the areas of certified personal trainers, spin instructors,recreation, emergency medical services, group leaders, Red Cross and Royal Lifesaving Instructors and National Life Savers.
Classes and instruction are available for circuit training, cardio kick boxing, spin, step, stability ball, aquafit and more. Workouts run 45-60 minutes and include a proper warm up and cool down and a stretch. Supplementary Training is also available for members who have failed their annual fitness test or for members who are seeking some fun through fitness. Personal training, weight training seminars, running techniques, warm-up, cool down, and safe stretching, teen weight training seminars, work up training for JTF, pre-para, Army Fitness Manual consultataion and group programs can also be provided.
In addition our dedicated staff offers CF EXPRES evaluations (20MSR or step test), and training programs that will prep you for CF Firefighter, SAR Tech, JTF pre-screening, Pre-Para and Ranger. Our Fitness Instructors are also available to assist you in officiating your unit sports days. The Fitness Instructors can be booked to provide equipment and technique development to improve your skill. Seminars on specific sports or fitness styles can be also arranged to meet your needs. Military Swim Lessons - will commence once the pool reopens
Basic Weight Training Classes -new dates - TBD Instructor lead Basic Weight Training classes for personnel interested in Beginning Weight Training programs are offerred monthly. The classes will focus on proper technique and each participant will walk away with a basic weight training package. There will be two classes each month during the 0700 -0800 PT time frame.
Dundonald Hall Hours of Operation; Regular Hours Monday to Friday 0600-2200 Saturday and Sunday 0900-2100
Holiday Hours 0900 - 1700
Apply to the following: Victoria Day, Canada Day, August Civic Holiday, Labour Day, and Thanksgiving Day. On Remembrance Day Dundonald Hall opens at 1600 hrs.
Dundonald Hall will be closed on the following holidays: Christmas Day, New Year?s Day, Boxing Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday.
