A Community Access Card (CAC) allows access to all our programs and facilities at CFB Petawawa.  Military personnel and their families, civilian employees, as well as community members from the surrounding area are invited to become a member.  Individual clubs may charge an additional membership fee.

* NEW effective 26 February 2007 - Memberships under 6 months  will have a $2 card printing fee.  For a family membership the fee is for each person receiving a card.  (this catagory of membership only)

$5.00 per day per facility (non transferable)

One-Club Membership

If you are interested in participating in only one of our many recreational clubs, you can purchase a "One-Club Membership" for $30.00 plus GST per year. That makes you eligible to join only one of our Recreation Clubs. The Rec Plex will issue One-Club Membership receipts.   Access to Dundonald Hall is not considered as part of the One-Club Membership program.

Organizations and large work forces can apply for a Corporate Rate for their employees. The Corporate Rates provide a $50.00/family or $25.00/individual discount on regular civilian CAC rates. Contact the Rec Plex at 687-2932 for further information or email donovan.ka@forces.gc.ca..

Note: The Yacht Club and Black Bear Campground are not included in the One-Club Membership program. However, discount rates are offered to full CAC membership holders.

Payment Options

Military

  • Pay allotment-pay allotments may be set up at the Rec Plex or the South Side Community Centre. Depending on the start date of the membership, one month's payment may be required in cash.
  • Cash, Interac, VISA or Mastercard payments for the annual, semi-annual or monthly payments.
  • Cheque payment for the full annual payment, with 1/2 fees on one cheque payable for the date of purchase and a second payable within thirty days of the application.
  • Pre Authorized Debit Program. You can pay for your CAC Card over a period of up to twelve months. Voided cheque required.

Civilian Members

  • Cheques for the full annual amount broken into two payments. First payment is due on the date of application for membership and a post-dated cheque is required for thirty days after the date of application. Interac is available at the Rec Plex.

Definition of Family

A family consists of the applicant, their spouse and children. Children are defined as:

  • Son/daughter, 18 years of age or younger residing at applicants permanent address;
  • Son/daughter, 25 years of age or younger and attending school full time;
  • A physically and/or mentally challenged son/daughter residing at the applicant's permanant address.
  • Spouse is defined as legally married to or living common law with partner.

Saturday - 10:00AM to 2:00PM

Sunday - Closed

Winter Hours of Operation:

Monday-Thursday 9:00 AM to 8:30 PM

Friday                      9:00 AM to 6:30 PM

CAC Regulations

  • CAC cards are photo ID cards. All family members over twelve years of age are required to have their own CAC cards.
  • CAC cards must be turned in at the reception desk of the facility upon entry into the facility. Persons without a CAC card will be charged a drop-in fee.
  • All facilities require that children under twelve years of age be accompanied at all times by another person, 16 years or older. The adult/guardian and child must remain together within the facility; for example, both in the pool, or both in the gym.
  • Membership rights and privileges may be suspended for a specified term or permanently revoked for inappropriate behavior, which includes, but is not limited to: Disorderly conduct; disruptive behavior; persistent disregard for rules, regulations and staff; default in payment of membership fees; and conducting or soliciting for any form of business within the facilities.
  • Dundonald Hall Fitness, Sports and Aquatics Centre is primarily a military training facility with priority to military units during the week day schedule, however, there is lots of space for everyone.
  • There will be no CAC refund as a result of any temporary facility closures.
  • Note: a $25.00 administrative fee will be added for NSF cheques.
