National Lifeguard Service (NLS) -Pool & Waterfront Options
NLS is Canada's only recognized lifeguarding program. It is the legal certification required to be employed as a lifeguard. NLS teaches advanced skills and training in leadership, teamwork, communication, and emergencies in a pool or waterfront environment. Pre-requisites: 16 years of age, Bronze Cross (need not be current), and Current Standard First Aid certifications. Those looking to increase their skills should also consider the Assistant Water Safety Instructor course.

We have course dates set for NLS, WSI and LSI (registration at the Rec Plex):
NLS December 2008 Course: Cost CAC- $160 Non CAC- $185 Tuesday, 2 December 430-10pm Friday, 5 December 430-10pm Sunday, 7 December 11am-7pm Tuesday, 9 December 430-10pm Friday, 12 December 430-10pm Sunday, 14 December 11am-7pm Tuesday, 16 December 430-930pm * Precert/EXAM*
